Annual Nikkei Matsuri - Among the three remaining Japantown communities in the U.S., San Jose celebrates Japanese-American heritage at the annual Nikkei Matsuri, featuring handmade crafts, performing arts and food.

Gilroy Garlic Festival - The herb is chopped, minced and pressed into pesto, scampi, french bread, mushrooms, french fries, ice cream--all available for chowing down. A highly coveted cooking contest, arts and crafts booths, demos, daredevil skateboarders and BMXers join live music and general food-coma laziness in an afternoon saluting the mighty bulb. A generous portion from the gate and food sales benefits local charities.

Italian Family Festa - This three-day festival gets underway the first weekend of October and features live entertainment of the Italian-American variety, and of course food. Grape stomping and cooking demonstrations, crafts booths and a beer and wine garden are among the attractions at this family event.

San Jose International Auto Show - From specialty models to race cars, San Jose McEnery Convention Center showcases some 350 vehicles from more than 36 manufacturers, displayed in tandem with an accessory arcade. Come and enjoy this great event!

San Jose International Mariachi Festival and Concert - The San José Mariachi and Mexican Heritage Festival presents a week-long schedule of music and educational events, including food, live dancing and music, workshops, and more.

San Jose Obon Festival - Japantown's largest festival with two days of game booths, food booths, cultural exhibits and demonstrations, the Chidori Band, San Jose Taiko and over 1,000 dancers in full costume each evening.

Santa Clara County Fair - The Santa Clara County Fair is a traditional fair, with rides, games, food, animals, shows and much more. With dozens of categories in Stills, Livestock and Small Animal entries, there truly is something for everyone to participate.

Tahiti Fete - A Tahitian Dance Competition Extravaganza! Come and celebrate a cultural event like no other. There will be crafts, food, and awesome Tahitian dancing.

Zee Heritage India Festival - The spirit of India comes alive at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds with Zee Heritage India Festival, featuring regional cuisine, exotic dancers, and vendors from New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and elsewhere, with children’s activities including kite making and magic shows.
