Buttonwood Park Zoo - The park and zoo encompass 97 acres in the west-central part of the city. The newly renovated zoo houses almost 150 animals of 35 different species including two Asian elephants, Emily and Ruth. The zoo reopened on August 12, 2000 after a major four-year renovation.
