Preservation Hall - The Preservation Hall is a musical venue in the French Quarter founded in 1961 to protect and honor New Orleans Jazz. Live Jazz performances Thursdays to Mondays from 8 to 11. Mardi Gras - Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement and one of the biggest holidays in New Orleans! Dressed in purple, green, and gold-the crowds adorned the streets throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades. This is a once in-a-lifetime experience, don't miss it! Satchmo Summerfest - Satchmo SummerFest features uniquely New Orleans events that take place during the festival weekend. Beginning with the Satchmo Art show, the Satchmo Birthday Party and on Sunday, patrons pack into St. Augustine Church to participate in the heralded Jazz Mass where, upon conclusion, crowds flock into the streets to join in the second-line parade to the festival. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival - This is a huge yearly event that just about everyone with any appreciate of music celebrates. Jazzfest presents a large array of internationally renowned artistic talents and a showcase of who's who in American Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, Gospel and everything else talent.
