Garden Valley Ranch - A true horticultural gem of Northern California, Garden Valley Ranch began in 1981 as a bed and breakfast inn. In 1998, this nine-acre garden rose ranch produced, sold, and shipped over a quarter of a million blooms throughout the country! Self-guided tours of the gardens are available.

Humboldt State University Natural History Museum - Located in Wells Fargo Hall in Arcata, the museum's collections and exhibits focus on the theme 'the Earth and its biota through time' with an emphasis on local Northern California natural history.

Mendocino Art Center - The facilities at the Mendocino Art Center include studios and classrooms for fine arts, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, textiles and computer arts. Four gallery spaces provide exhibition opportunities to emerging and established artists.

Point Arena Lighthouse & Museum - The original lighthouse began operating in 1870 and had to be rebuilt after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The Point Arena Lighthouse is the first steel-reinforced concrete lighthouse in the United States.

Sequoia Park Zoo - The Zoo is situated on approximately 5 acres of level terrain northeast of the redwood ravines of Sequoia Park. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens - A rare jewel, the only public garden in the continental United States fronting directly on the ocean. Safari West - Picture yourself among some of the world's most exotic creatures. Come close with giraffes, gazelles, zebras and many of the other 600 animals that inhabit the preserve.
