James E. Bertelsmeyer Planetarium - Instead of demonstrating the night sky as it looks from Earth, the presentation allows the audience to travel through a vast real-time simulation of the universe with its multitude of stars, planets, asteroids, and galaxies. In a split second, you will move from a pastoral Oklahoma sunset to a sense of presence in galaxies 700 million light years away.

Tulsa Indian Arts Festival - Held in mid-March, celebrating Native American history and culture, with artists converging from all over the country. Many local Indians dress in traditional dress and participate in the entertainment and activities. Attendance exceeded all expectations. It is a magical event and after 234 years, people still comment on that "magic".

Tulsa State Fair - Held in late September/early October, a major event with a huge range of fairground entertainment and shows. The Tulsa State Fair is Oklahoma’s premier family event. It is our mission to preserve our heritage and continue tradition by creating an enriching educational experience, while providing fun family entertainment.

Freedom Fest - Celebrating the Fourth of July in River Parks is a Tulsa tradition. Families line both banks of the Arkansas River with lawn chairs and picnic baskets for "Freedom Fest" which includes musical entertainment and Tulsa's largest free fireworks show.
