August 27-September 6 - Nebraska State Fair, Lincoln.  Before there was a state, there was a fair. From the days of the first Nebraska State Fair along the banks of the Missouri River to the present 11-day show, the Fair has always been a joyful occasion for all.  (402) 473-4105.

August 5-8 - Lewis & Clark 200th and Tekamah 150th Celebration, Tekamah.  Outdoor Concert, Crafts, Demalation Derby, L&C Mural, Street Dances, Exotic Zoo, Art Display, Old Train.  (402) 374-2521.

September 1-5 - Sarpy County Fair, Springfield.  Rodeo, Carnival Midway, Live entertainment, Parade, activities for the whole family.  (402) 593-4143.

November 6 - Veterans Day Parade, Bellevue.  This is the largest parade in Nebraska honoring our men and women who have served.  (402) 898-3000.
